Your Priorities Are My Priorities
As your District 4 Supervisor, your priorities will be my priorities. I’ve listened closely to your concerns, and I am committed to delivering solutions that reflect the values and needs of our community. These include:
Upholding the General Plan
I will work to ensure that the intent of the voter-approved General Plan is followed with integrity and not disregarded to serve special interests. Our General Plan is our County’s blueprint. Our community’s voice must remain at the center of all land-use decisions.
Revitalizing Agriculture
I stand with our agricultural community to expand opportunities for lodging and tourism within the Ranch Marketing Ordinance. These changes will give our local farms and ranches more options to remain economically viable in a changing economy.
Supporting Businesses
Our County should empower - not hinder - our local businesses. I will work to streamline the process and reduce bureaucratic red tape so entrepreneurs can open their businesses and grow without unnecessary delays.
Improving the Permit Process for All
I will partner with the Planning and Building Department to establish clear customer service standards. From building a home, to adding an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), or applying for a conditional use permit, residents deserve a transparent, efficient, and user-friendly permitting process.
Fair Compensation for County Workers
I will work collaboratively with our labor organizations and County management to ensure fair and competitive wages, particularly for rank-and-file employees. We must maintain workforce stability by avoiding surprise layoffs and supporting our public servants who keep this County running.
Wildfire Prevention and Insurance Reform
I will be a strong advocate for County leadership in wildfire prevention efforts, defensible space initiatives and community incentives. I will advocate to our State Legislators for greater choice and flexibility - including making wildfire coverage an optional add-on, similar to flood or earthquake insurance.
Addressing Homelessness with Real Action
I will push for a long-term, comprehensive plan to address homelessness in all its forms. The County’s delayed response has been unacceptable, and I will make it a top priority to act with urgency, compassion, and accountability.
